Ricco Deruta Majolica Italian Ceramic Small Condiment Spice Jar - Handcrafted in Deruta, Italy
Complete your Italian cucina with this beautiful set of two Ricco Deruta small condiment spice jars — timeless pieces of Italian craftsmanship. Handmade and hand-painted in the hilltop town of Deruta, Umbria, these jars are part of the Ricco Deruta collection, one of Italy’s most iconic and historic majolica designs.
Often paired with:
- Ricco Deruta Ceramic Wine Coaster / Olive Dish
- Ricco Deruta Ceramic Parmesan Cheese / Sugar Bowl
The town of Deruta has been known for its ceramics since the Middle Ages, reaching artistic heights during the Renaissance. Local clay, passed-down techniques, and vivid glazes create ceramics that are both functional and beautiful. The Ricco design, which means “rich” in Italian, dates back to the 16th century and reflects acanthus leaves and Renaissance floral motifs inspired by the painter Perugino.
At Piccola®, we’ve hand-selected exclusive pieces to be custom-made in Deruta by family artisans with over 50 years of ceramic expertise. These jars aren’t mass-produced — each one is a celebration of artistry, history, and Italian tradition.
